WATERVILLE, Maine --- First-year player Elizabeth Bogo (East Grand Rapids, Mich.) won at first singles and was part of a second doubles win as the Colby College women's tennis team won 9-0 at Thomas College on Wednesday.

Wiener, Love help women's tennis to season opener win (09/09/2012)
WATERVILLE, Maine --- Sarah Wiener (Mequon, Wis.) won her first singles match and Mckenzie Love (Wenham, Mass.) won at the second spot for the Colby College women's tennis team in a 9-0 season-opening win over Colby-Sawyer College on Sunday.

Begin '67 to have tennis courts named in his honor (08/07/2012)
WATERVILLE, Maine --- Colby College graduate Jim Begin '67, who has been a head coach and an assistant coach for the Mules' tennis programs in the past, will be honored Friday, Aug. 10, when Waterville's North Street tennis courts are named in his honor.

Women's tennis takes 6-3 win over Connecticut College (04/22/2012)

WATERVILLE, Maine --- Kathryn Vergeyle (Orono, Minn.) made her final home match a memorable one with a convincing singles win and a doubles victory at the first position for the Colby College women's tennis team in a 6-3 win over Connecticut College in New England Small College Athletic Conference play Sunday.
 
The Mules, who also won Saturday against Hamilton College improve to 10-8 overall and 2-5 in the league. Connecticut College fell to 4-14 overall and 0-6 in the conference. The match was played indoors because of cool temperatures and some drizzly rain during the day.
 
Vergeyle, Colby's captain and only senior on the squad, won 6-1, 6-0 at third singles. She also teamed with Sarah Wiener (Mequoin, Wis.) for an 8-6 win at the first doubles position.
 
Tess Perese (Minneapolis, Minn.) won her ninth singles match of the season with a tough 6-3, 3-6, 6-3 victory at the second spot. Sally Holmes (Prairie Village, Kansas) moved to 8-6 in singles play with a win at four and Mckenzie Love (Wenham, Mass.) improved to a team-best 12-4 with a straight sets victory at six.
 
Sara Krivoshik (Wilton, Conn.) took a 6-0, 6-2 win at first singles for the Camels, while Brittany Badik (Madison, Conn.) won at the fifth spot. Badik also teamed with Brittany Cangemi (Scituate, Mass.) for a second doubles win.

WATERVILLE, Maine --- Sarah Wiener (Mequon, Wis.) won at first singles and teamed with Kathryn Vergeyle (Orono, Minn.) for a victory at first doubles for the Colby College women's tennis team in an 8-1 win over Hamilton College on Saturday.
