Lee takes win for women's swim team

MIDDLEBURY, Vt. --- Kathryn Lee captured a victory in the 100-yard butterfly and Heather Cronin placed second in the 1,000 freestyle for the Colby College women's swimming and diving team in a 237-62 loss to Middlebury College on Saturday.

Colby took a 121-26 win against Norwich University on Friday.
Lee earned nine points for her time of 1:00.78 in narrowly holding off Middlebury's Courtney Haron (1:00.90) and teammate Rosie Wennberg (1:00.94).

Cronin nearly pulled out a victory in the 1,000 freestyle in her time of 11:08.69. Middlebury's Jen Friedlander earned the win in 11:08.23.

Wennberg also had thirds in the 100 freestyle (56.44) and the 50 butterfly (27.37). The Mules added thirds from Katie Southworth in the 50 freestyle (26.90), Shuana Yuan in the 100 breaststroke (1:12.54), and Morganne Hodsdon with a 5:31.13 in the 500 freestyle.
