Women's tennis opens season with victory

WATERVILLE, Maine --- Sarah Wiener (Mequon, Wis.) won her first singles match and Mckenzie Love (Wenham, Mass.) won at the second spot for the Colby College women's tennis team in a 9-0 season-opening win over Colby-Sawyer College on Sunday.
Colby (1-0 overall) won all six of the singles matches in straight sets. Victoria Abel (Carlisle, Mass.), Sally Holmes (Prairie Village, Kan.), Elizabeth Bogo, and Erica Talamo (Newton, Mass.) also won for the Mules.
Love and Abel combined for a victory at first doubles, while Wiener and Holmes took a tight win at the second spot. Alex McAuliff (Waterville, Maine) and Bogo won at three.
