WATERVILLE, Maine --- Colby College's Tess Perese and Mckenzie Love both went to three sets in tough losses Sunday as the Mules fell 9-0 to Middlebury College in NESCAC women's tennis.
Ria Gerger won in three sets at first singles and was a winner at first doubles with Lok-Sze Leung for Middlebury. Gerger took a 6-1, 3-6, 6-4 win over Perese in the first singles match. Middlebury (8-4 overall, 5-1 NESCAC) also received a 3-6, 6-1, 6-3 comeback win for Sarah Macy at fourth singles against Love. Katie Paradies won 9-8 (7-4) at the fifth spot in a tight battle with Sally Holmes.
Colby fell to 10-5 overall and 1-3 in the conference.
