Doubles team falls at women's ITA tennis tourney

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. --- Victoria Abel and Sarah Wiener played in doubles action at the United States Tennis Association (USTA)/Intercollegiate Tennis Associationi (ITA) New England Region meet and were defeated in the opening round Friday night.
 
Abel and Wiener fell 8-1 to the fifth-seeded team of Jennifer Newman and Zoe Pangalos.
 
Mckenzie Love, who had won her first round match earlier in the day, lost 6-0, 6-0 to ninth-seeded Caroline Richman of Amherst in second round singles play.
