Women's tennis wins fifth straight match

HILTON HEAD, S.C. --- The Colby College women's tennis team moved to 7-1 overall and won for the fifth straight time in Wednesday's 6-3 victory over St. Olaf in Hilton Head.

Sarah Wiener, Victoria Abel, Mckenzie Love all won matches in super tiebreakers. Wiener won 6-4 in the opening set, fell 6-2 in the second set, and then came up with a 10-7 win in the super tiebreaker at the second position. Abel lost 6-3 in the opening set and fought back to win 6-4 and 10-6 at three, while Love took the same route as Wiener and won the first set and then took a close 10-8 win in the super tiebreaker.

Colby took all three doubles matches to get out to a 3-0 lead. Wiener and Perese won at the first position, Sally Holmes and Abel were winners at two, and Holly Bogo and Love won the third doubles match.

Colby meets Concordia on Thursday at 3 p.m.
