GORHAM, Maine --- The Colby College team of Emily Doyle, Alanna McDonough, Emily Tolman, and Brittney Bell won the 1,600-meter relay at the New England Division III Women's Indoor Track and Field Championships at University of Southern Maine on Saturday.
The foursome had a time of 3 minutes, 58.15 seconds in a field of 19 teams. Southern Maine was second in 3:58.92 and Springfield took third at 3:59.93.
The Colby women placed seventh out of 26 scoring teams with 39 points.
Catherine McClure continued to have a fine indoor season, placing third in the 5,000 meters in 17:20.64. Doyle also placed third in the 400 dash in 59.15 and Bell was fifth at 59.41. Tolman added a fourth in the 600 meters (1:38.12) and was ninth in the long jump (16-10), while Reardon was sixth in the pole vault (10-10) and eighth in the 55 hurdles (8.73).
The distance medley relay team of Morgan Lingar, Laura Duff, Ginny Keesler, and Kate Connolly were sixth (12:33.44). The 3,200 relay team of Keesler, Layne Schwab, Duff, and Lingar took eighth place in 9:52.26.
