BOSTON, Mass. ---- Annabelle Hicks finished in sixth place, broke a school record, and earned All-New England honors in the 60-meter dash at the Open New England Women's Indoor Track and Field Championships on Saturday at Boston University.
Hicks finished with a time of 7.82 in the championship final, but had earlier run a 7.80 in prelim races to break the school record. She is currently 13th in the national rankings (top 15 go to NCAA meet).

"Annabelle was not seeded to make it to the finals, so this is quite an accomplishment," Colby head coach Deb Atiken said. "She will have another chance to lower her time at ECAC’s next weekend."
Brittany Reardon placed 10th in the 60 hurdles (9.16 semifinal, 9.11 prelim) and was 14th in the pole vault with a leap of 11-0.75 to tie her personal best.
Eva Lauer placed 12th for the Mules in the 5,000 meters with a 18:02.75 clocking, while Brittney Bell had a personal best by two seconds with a 58.44 to take 16th place in the 400 meters. Morgan Lingar added a 24th in the 1,000 meters (personal best 3:02.95) and Colby's distance medley relay team was 14th in 12:41.57.
