BRUNSWICK, Maine --- Annabelle Hicks, Brittany Reardon, and Leigh Fryxell all won events for the Colby College women's outdoor track and field team at the Bowdoin College Aloha Relays on Saturday.
Hicks took the 100-meter dash in 12.44, Reardon won the 100 hurdles with a 14.93 clocking, and Fryxell took the javelin throw with a toss of 116-06.
Colby's 3,200 relay team of Eva Lauer, Berol Dewdney, Morgan Lingar, and Laura Duff won the title in 9:54.97.
Hicks also took third place in both the long jump (16-11.25) and the triple jump (34-6.25), while Reardon was third in the pole vault (10-11.75).
Karyn King was a runner-up in the heptathlon after piling up 3,524 points. King took seconds in the event in the 200 dash (28.10), 800 meters (2:41.05), high jump (4-7.5), long jump (14-10.75), and the shot put (31-8.5).
Colby also received seconds from Brittney Bell in the 400 dash (58.21), Laura Duff in the 800 meters (2:22.79), Dewdney in the 1,500 meters (4:50.55), and Colleen Kenny in the 3,000 steeplechase (13:18.40).
Bell also took a third in the 200 dash (26.38), as did Lauer in the 1,500 meters (4:51.54) and Maeve McGovern with a 19:15.34 in the 5,000 meters. The Mules received fourths from Kate Connolly in the 1,500 meters (4:53.38) and Allison Rigby in the 5,000 meters (19:41.58). Kate MacNamee was fifth in the hammer throw (133-03) and Julianne LaBrecque took fifth in the pole vault (9-0.25).
Colby finished in third place out of seven teams with a score of 122. The Mules finished behind Bowdoin (196) and Southern Maine (131) and in front of Bates (82.5), Smith (63.5), Mount Holyoke (20), and Husson (9).
