Roads with high erosion potential and/or run close to the lake may need additional structures to help control run-off.
Water diversions such as speed bump like mounds, or partially submerged logs help to divert run-off away from the direction favored by the lay of the road.
Culverts can be especially useful in changing the side of the road run-off is primarily flowing on.  Culverts should be big enough to handle maximum flow volumes and be adequately buffered with sediment and gravel to minimize impacts of erosion and road use.
