Functions of GIS in this study
•Answering research questions
–Has land use changed over time?
–Are some areas more likely than others to contribute to cultural eutrophication?
•Developing management recommendations
–How do these answers relate to water quality?
–How can we use this knowledge to effectively reduce human impact on the watershed?
Research Questions:
   - What are the land use patterns within the watershed
   -

Management Recommendations: GIS provides a tool for finding effective management strategies.

In this study, we used GIS to study patterns of land use and development within the Lake Wesserunsett watershed.  We used this information to attempt to predict the potential effects of these factors on lake wate r quality.
