Structures proposed in the
shoreland zone are required to be set back a minimum of 100 feet from the
shoreline in order to help limit erosion and run off. (point to picture)
Nutrient loading is further
minimized by ordinances that regulate lot size, septic system placement, the
expansion of existing buildings, among other things.
