Here is a summary of the two models.  They were both created to simulate factors that affect water quality.  A functioning septic system reduces nutrient loading into the lake.  The Septic suitability model should be used to help properly install septic systems and check systems already in place.
The erosion potential model shows areas that have a large negative impact of water quality due to erosion.  Remediation and erosion control in these areas may significantly reduce nutrient loading and improve lake water quality.
Elizabeth Turnbull will now present Buffer strips and Septic Surveys.
