RESULTS INDICATE a large quantity of poor and failing buffers.

64 Buffer strips ÔfailedÕ which means there was not sufficient vegetation to mitigate any nutrient runoff. and in may cases, these properties had erosion problems or were actively contributing nutrients to the lake in other ways. 38 were rated as ÔpoorÕ and 58 were fair.  Buffers strips in all three of these categories need improvement.
