Remediation is necessary in 3MP because of the high contribution of phosphorus from sediment release.
In lake remediation can help lake water quality from an internal standpoint, particularly if external sources are addressed first. As a threatened lake, 3MP could greatly improve with the combination of external and internal phosphorus control and remediation.
