Additional techniques
Algicides
Temporary, toxic, expensive
Aquatic Plant Harvesting
Not enough phosphorus in biomass
Physical Liners
Application is difficult & expensive, lake size
-ALGICIDES:  kills the actual algae cells
TEMPORARY -repeated application often within the week
   TOXIC copper sulfate -devastate ecosystem
   EXPENSIVE

-AQUATIC PLANT HARVEST: removal of phosphorus containing biomass in plants in water in addition to serious ecological impacts of harvesting,  with the size of 3MP, not enough P in biomass to make a significant reduction and to make harvesting worthwhile

Purely physical/barrier that caps the phosphorus within the sediment
Requires Small areas and no disturbance so seal isnt broken
Application of liners is difficult in a lake the size of Threemile & also very expensive
