This evening we have told you about several of the challenges Threemile Pond faces and some of the applicable remediation techniques
We are aware that while some remediation techniques are easy and relatively inexpensive to implement as individuals, other remediation techniques will be expensive and may require outside funding.  Our report includes a number of resources available for funding watershed remediation projects.  They include:
1)Maine DEP Website
Non-point source Water Pollution Control Grants-to replace    malfunctioning septic systems
Non -governmental funding sources
           Watershed Management assistance
Nutrient Management Loans
Watershed Protection grant
funding junior high/high school action projects
A second resource for Funding is
2)Maine Natural Resource Protection Act
Contact information is available in the executive summary. So, there is money available and economic reasons do not have to be the limiting factor in remediation
