| �With a sense of the past and present characteristics of threemile
pond, We studied the natural and human activities affecting the lake in order
to assess its overall health. |

| �We performed physical, chemical, and biological tests on the lake and
on incoming and outgoing tributaries. |

| �We also assessed land use by mapping the history of various land use
types throughout the watershed, and surveying houses and roads. |
||
| �From these measurements and from historical data, we were able to
evaluate the current lake health, make predictions on future trends, and
recommend remediation techniques. |
