The Togus Pond watershed is located in Kennebec County, and is contained entirely within in the City of Augusta.

It has an average depth of 17.8 feet and a maximum depth of 51 feet

The watershed of Togus Pond  is shown as the area in green, covering roughly 4.8 square miles.  This is an area of land that drains down-slope into Togus Pond. The water moves through a network of drainage pathways, both underground and on the surface. Generally, these pathways converge into streams and rivers, which become progressively larger as the water moves on downstream.  Dam Pond also feeds into the Togus Pond watershed so it is considered an indirect watershed.

Togus Receives water from a variety of sources.  One of the main input sources is from a stream that flows into the lake at route 3.  Other tributaries can be found primarily along the northern half of the lake as well.  It is also likely that Togus is spring fed, but there is no way to measure this contribution.

Water Flows out from Togus Pond and into Lower Togus at the Route 105 culvert, and into Togus Stream which empties into the Kennebec river.
