Togus Pond supports a diverse fish population including many game fish.  This has lead to high fishing activity and has resulted in the stocking of game fish such as brown trout since the early 1900s.

This year the Maine Department of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife stocked over 900 brown and brook trout to support the high fishing activity on Togus Pond.

It is important that water quality be properly managed in order to preserve a suitable habitat for these fish, especially since fishing is perhaps the top recreational use for Togus Pond

Next, Natalie will present our water quality data.
