The Septic Suitability Model
can be used when planning the construction of new septic systems. Low septic
suitability can be mitigated before septic systems are installed.

The model may also be
helpful in focusing efforts for monitoring septic systems that are already in
place, so that areas that have low septic suitability are targeted.
