Both dirt camp roads and paved roads are present within the Togus Pond watershed, and each has unique but severe impacts on water quality.
Dirt roads and the shoulders of paved roads are sources of rapid soil erosion.
Paved roads also represent impervious surfaces, and increase runoff that commonly contains harmful pollutants.
