roads can have a major impact.
Culverts are a common feature and are used to direct streams and
stormwater beneath the road surface to prevent erosion. Here we see a culvert on the left
that has been regularly cleared of debris, you can see straight through it
and water is flowing freely. And
on the right is a culvert that has been buried clogged with vegetation, and
no water is flowing through. |
