Steep Driveways
Identified problem driveways
Many lead straight into the lake
Steep slopes lead to erosion
Tasker Road, Hayes Road, Albee Road
During the road survey, we identified many of the steep and problematic driveways in the watershed.  Many lead straight towards the lake and have serious erosion problems.  Tasker Road and Hayes Road had the most problematic driveways.  Some were also identified on the end of Albee Road.  This is partly due to the slope of the land, but improvements such as diversions (point to diversion picture) and waterbars can be installed.  These are constructed objects that are either on the side of the driveway, in the case of a diversion, or within the driveway, in the case of a waterbar, to collect and divert runoff into wooded areas to settle just as they would be used on a road
