I will go through our
recommendations for the various elements of watershed management which
include buffer strips and erosion, roads, septic systems and land use.

Buffer strips and
erosion -
|
|
-limit the amount of imperious surfaces
|
|
-repair driveways
|
|
-increase coverage of native forbs, shrubs, and trees
|
|
-increase horizontal depth of the buffer strip to
meet DEP guidelines where possible
|
|
-implement rip rap where needed
|
|
-limit buffer strip cutting
|
|
-keep necessary paths narrow and winding
|
|
|
|
Roads-
|
|
-regular maintenance of camp roads
|
|
-remediation of specific problem sites
|
|
-limited and monitored construction of new roads
|
|
-no new roads in shoreline area
|
|
-regular enforcement of the Sedimentation Control Law
