This figure depicts the monthly average Secchi depth for sites 1-3 this summer. Site 4 was too shallow for Secchi measurements. In the figure, average secchi depth is plotted on the Y axis, and date is along the X axis. This figure shows us that although bottom phosphorus levels are increasing, Long Pond North is still not experiencing major algal blooms, because Secchi depth never fell below 2 meters. This is good, but when we look at historical data, we get a different picture.
