Deciduous Forest
Ground-Truthing
Deciduous forest is an example of a land-use type that required ground-truthing
When enlarged, appears textured and green, but difficult to determine its land-use type from the DOQ alone.

Traveled to this area in the watershed, and saw that the area contained deciduous forest.

Once we learn about a specific type of land such as this, we can translate that information to other areas that look similar on the DOQ, and thus make the rest of the process much more efficient.
