The Long Pond North
watershed is extensive in that it covers more than 6600 acres and
encompasses a variety of habitats. Included within the watershed are
wetlands, coniferous and deciduous forests, small
ponds, and riparian habitat. Because human activity within
the watershed affects Long Pond’s water quality, it is important to
understand the ecological implications of our actions.
