Long Pond is the 2nd
smallest lake in the Belgrade Lakes chain. Long Pond North has a surface
area of 1275 acres. Long Pond North has a mean depth of 10 meters and a
maximum depth of 20 meters. This
bathymetry map shows the
general contours of the lakes basin. The deepest areas, which reach up to
60 feet in depth, are represented by the dark blue and are found in the
center of the lake. The four arms, for the most part, are relatively
shallow.
Next, Ryan will discuss the
present status of Long Pond North and will also describe our study
objectives.
