The purpose of the phosphorus budget is to determine the total amount of phosphorus entering LPN from specific sources.  Nikki already explained to you how we measured the phosphorus content of the water.  This calculation involves developing a model for assigning weighted sources of the limiting lake nutrient.  This type of analysis is helpful in identifying problems and in making future projections.
