Here is a map of the lake showing the area of the pond that is 6 meters or deeper and therefore could experience anoxic conditions.  The lighter blue represents the area that could be anoxic during summer stratification.  This area represents roughly 30% of the lake, and so there is clearly the potential for a lot of internal loading of phosphorus.  However, there is also the issue of external loading of contaminants into the lake, which I will now talk about.
