The Phosphorus Budget
combines the what we have learned about land use in the Pattee Pond
watershed with the results from our Water quality analysis. It calculates
how much P is contributed by each land use and shows us which contribute the
most P to the lake. By entering different scenarios into the model, it can
be used to predict water quality in the future. For example we could predict
the concentration of phosphors given increased housing development at the
expense of forests.
