What is the Bridge?
The Bridge is Colby's all-inclusive queer and ally student-run club. We are part of the Pugh Center for Multiculturalism. We encourage our members to help plan events that they want to see put on at Colby, and this type of member involvement directly translates into exciting and unique events on campus.

Throughout the year the Bridge hosts and cosponsors a wide variety of events. These events have included speakers, performers, trips, social gatherings, and a yearly pride week.
Bridge Steering Committee Members
The Bridge Steering Committee is a group of members who have committed to supporting the group through planning meetings and smaller events to encourage cohesion and continuity. They also help members with troubleshooting and planning events, and are a major resource for students who have questions about sexuality and gender identity.

Hi, I'm Stephanie. I'm a senior History and East Asians Studies double major. This is my third year on the steering committee, and I am currently serving as the chair. Please feel free to reach out to me regarding any queer/ally related programming, issues or questions. Outside of the Bridge I'm a captain on the Colby Women's Rugby Team, and I enjoy skiing, hiking, and jogging.
Hi I'm Madeline! I'm a junior double majoring in Psychology and Women, Gender and Sexuality Studies. I'm captain of the Women's Squash team here at Colby and Publicity Chair for Student Government. As Co-Chair of the Bridge, I will be working hard with the entire steering committee (and Steph) to publicize events, work on relationships between Pugh center clubs and build relationships with the administration! Please feel free to email me with any questions! firstname.lastname@example.org
Hi I'm Dave! I'm a senior Global Studies and WGSS major from Virginia. This will be my fourth year in the Bridge where I will be taking on a new role as the treasurer. Outside of the Bridge I am a community adviser and on the student advisory board for the Goldfarb Center. I also really love running!
Hey everyone! My name is Becca and I am a senior Anthropology major and Education minor from Amherst, MA. At Colby I participate in CCAK and am on the woodsmen team (basically competitive lumberjacking!). Over the summers I work at a YMCA camp in New Hampshire. I love animals, especially sloths and cats, and this year I will be the secretary of the Bridge!
I'm Sonja Hagemeier. I'm a sophomore German and Religious Studies major with a WGSS minor. I am a CA, a member of the Colby Organic Farmers and Gardeners Association, the COC and a few other things. I like to run, stargaze and eat. I like making posters for the Bridge, especially ones with lots of colors and feathers.
Yo! My name is Erin Fitzsimmons and I am a senior philosophy major and a Maine native. I love cooking almost as much as I love eating. I also like public radio, documentary films, skinny dipping, and thinking. I am the secretary of the Religious Studies Club, an active member of the mediation club on campus, and I ambitiously sign up for the Colby College Cycling Club email list every year. I love choreographing dances for the Drag Ball as well as planning fabulous events that spread queer cheer!
Hi all! I'm Andy Kang, I'm a junior majoring in English with a minor in Administrative Science, and I'm the Social Media Chair for the Bridge this year! So I'm the one who will be pestering you all with Facebook events, tweets, Instagram, and anything else I can find that will help the Steering Committee keep in touch with you! Outside the Bridge, I work in the Farnham Writers' Center, and I'm also the Assistant to the Publicity Chair on the Pugh Community Board (PCB). Please let me know if you have any feedback, comments, or questions! email@example.com
