Standards For the CMC Monitor Test

Monitors must meet the following standards:

• Can effectively teach the belay test skills
• Can give the belay test
• Can climb a ladder with a minimum of injury
• Can pick out good climbing ‘tunes’
• Knows, understands, and can implement the safety protocols
• Can steal chalk from the gym as need necessitates
