Lord of the Rings*: The Return to Acadia. 2012-11-02

Trip Description:
Join Ryan, Ari and shadow Shayla on an epic Acadian adventure.
We will be hiking Penobscot mountain and traversing the infamous Jordan Cliffs trail. This trip will be very similar to the Lord of the Rings except for we wont be walking to Mordor, we will be driving a luxurious Toyota Sienna. Also, instead of destroying an evil ring at the end of our quest, we will be destroying ice cream (unless it's cold, then we'll destroy a cup of coffee....). Also, we do not anticipate any orks or talking trees along the way. So, to sum up, this trip is not like the Lord of the Rings.
Anyways......
We will be departing campus on Friday evening after dinner and camping with the whole Acadia group on Friday night (It'll be a little bit chilly, so pack layers). Our hike will be approx. 7 miles and will be fairly strenuous. So in that sense it will be like Lord of the Rings. We will return Saturday late afternoon in plenty of time to get classed up for fall ball.
Note: Jordan Cliffs will be fairly exposed and requires some climbing on metal rungs. Might not be the best if you're deathly afraid of heights.
In conclusion, we are not sure if this will be like the Lord of the Rings. However, it will be fun. Hope you can join us.
