The Pugh Community Board (PCB) is an organization whose primary purpose is to provide direction on the ways the Pugh Center advances the College's goals regarding multiculturalism. The group programs lectures, concerts, performances, exhibitions, workshops and special events for the entire community. Programs are offered in the Pugh Center, and in other locations as well, such as the Coffeehouse, Page Commons Room, and occasionally, the field house for major events.
The Pugh Center is more than a physical space and more than the sum of the groups housed there. It is a reflection of Colby's vision of a multicultural society, one in which all members are free to be themselves and to explore, to affirm, and to celebrate who they are, a community in which students, faculty, and staff alike recognize, respect, honor, and learn from those important differences.
