After another successful year of packed events and inspiring conversation, the Pugh Community Board (PCB) is beginning to focus on what's next. Each spring we take applications for new members to join us in the following academic calendar. You'll see our notifications in the General Announcements, Colby Digest, and all those other e-mail chains, as well as on Facebook and Twitter.

We are the people who brought slam poets Baratunde Thurston; art activist Favianna Rodriguez; comedian Hari Kondabolu; author, feminist, activist bell hooks; journalist, feminist, activist Gloria Steinem; and of course myriad PC Coffee discussions and other events on campus this year. Previous years have seen Spike Lee, Angela Davis, Junot Diaz, Eve Ensler, and Jasbir Puar.

As a member of PCB you will interact with the foremost student leaders on campus--from Goldfarb to Pugh to SGA--and will be a major force in continuing to foster multicultural and activist progress at Colby. PCB requires members to work alongside faculty, administration, the Waterville community and, of course, the student body.
