Colby rugby had a huge game this Saturday, a game against Springfield College for the right to move on in the playoffs and play for the New England Plate in the finals next weekend. Playing under the lights, in front of a hugely enthusiastic home crowd, the CRFC delivered the result everyone was hoping for. Led by tries by Campbell Stevenson '12, Sam Brakeley '10, and the first career try by Nate Bangura '10, as well as a stellar defensive effort by the whole team, Colby emerged victorious, 19-5. The victory means Colby has earned a spot in the New England Plate Final, and will play Plymouth State University on Saturday November 14, at Fort Adams State Park in Newport, RI, hoping to claim the title of New England Plate Champions.
