SGA Meeting Sunday
SGA Meeting this Sunday, 7 pm in Page

The SGA will be meeting this Sunday at 7 p.m. in Page Commons. We will be discussing funding of HIV/AIDS testing for the Health Center and the ability of students to take one of their all-college requirements for pass/fail. Bro will be in attendance and answering questions.

There will be an SGA meeting on Sunday October 19 at 7 PM in the Parker-Reed Room of the SSWA Building.

All are welcome to attend.

There will be a SGA meeting this coming Sunday in SSWAC.  All are welcome to attend and we will be discussing many important issues, including the recent conversations on race.

Currently:

-Motion about dorm damage to apply it to the entire campus instead of dorm-by-dorm.

We have several motions on the agenda, including one to discuss the proposed Constitution (linked below), funding questions and several other motions. Vote in SGA Elections Wednesday Through Friday!

 Make sure to vote in the upcoming SGA elections this week, Wednesday through Friday. It is so easy and takes a minute. The link will be online Wednesday at 12:00 pm and closes Friday at 12:00 pm.

Elections will be held for a Constitutional Referendum, Junior Class Rep, and Treworgy Dorm President.

Run for SGA 2009-2010

 Colby Students,

The time has come for the 2009-2010 Student Government elections to begin!

Students are able to run for the following SGA positions:

* President and Vice-President (two people per ticket)
* Treasurer
* Dorm President (one president per residence hall)
* Class Presidents for 2010, 2011, 2012 (two people per ticket)

First and foremost, all candidates must be familiar with the SGA Election Guidelines. Please adhere to all rules and regulations or you will risk disqualification. The Election Guidelines can be found in Article VI of the new constitution:

Each candidate must complete and hand in an Election Nomination form and a Code of Ethics form. To receive all the relevant paper work, potential candidates MUST attend one of the two Mandatory Information Meetings being held this week:

Thursday, March 5 - Mandatory Informational Meeting at 10 p.m. in the Pugh Center

Thursday, March 5 - Mandatory Informational Meeting at 10 p.m. in the Pugh Center, if you can't make the first meeting

Sunday, March 8 - Echo articles (Due at 10:00 a.m. to Cary Finnegan, cbfinneg@colby.edu)

Monday, March 9 - Campaigning begins for all candidates at 8:00 a.m.

Tuesday, March 10 - Presidential Debate at 7:00 p.m. in Pugh Center
