The Goldfarb Center for Public Affairs and Civic Engagement is dedicated to helping students make meaningful connections between their academic work and the duties and obligations of democratic citizenship. Students work with influential leaders, volunteer in the community, and collaborate with accomplished researchers. Above all, the center creates an environment in which active citizenship is not cultivated solely in the classroom, but rather reflected, enhanced, and blended in the community.
The Goldfarb Center is a student-driven enterprise that is nimble enough to respond to changing student interests and concerns while simultaneously offering students a compelling and dynamic context in which to develop and hone their leadership skills.
How You Can Help
By establishing an endowed fund in support of the Goldfarb Center, you will ensure that current and future students will have innovative ways to connect their classroom work with the world beyond Mayflower Hill.
Endowed Funds supporting the Goldfarb Center may be created with gifts starting at $100,000 and can be $500,000 or more.
Public Affairs Programming
You can bring innovative thinkers and influential leaders to campus to work with Colby students for years to come. Create an endowed public affairs programming fund to support the lively, thought-provoking programs that prepare Colby students for the future.
When you make an endowed gift in support of community initiatives, you support an impressive array of partnerships and programs—including Colby Cares About Kids—that help students engage with the world beyond Mayflower Hill.
Research and Internships
An endowed fund for research-centered experiences will allow students to assume leadership roles as they confront critically important social, political, economic, and environmental issues.
