Colby offers several ways to identify prospective employees for full-time work, internships, and seasonal jobs. Our Associate Director of Employer Relations can help you select the best way to connect with our students.
Colby CareerLink is our on-campus recruiting system (a NACELink Symplicity product) that allows you to manage your on-campus recruiting activities including entering employment opportunities, reviewing student resumes, and scheduling interviews.
The most effective way to attract and engage top talent at Colby is to participate in on-campus interviews. The Career Center will be happy to schedule your visit to campus and will accommodate requests for either an open schedule or one that will allow you to screen resumes in advance.
On-Campus Information Sessions
Information sessions provide an informal, yet productive, way to educate students about your organization. These sessions typically last 45-minutes to an hour, and can be scheduled anytime during the academic year including the evening before a scheduled on-campus interview.
Moving forward, the Colby Career Center is asking all employers to post their opportunities in our NACElink Symplicity system (Colby CareerLink) themselves, in order to ensure accuracy in all details. Our office will continue to approve all postings in the system, and to reach out if there are any questions. This new process will provide employers with greater control over their information as well as allow us to better administer any policies or procedures relating to employers.

The Colby Career Center offers opportunities for you to connect with students remotely from the comfort and convenience of your own office. Work with us to create your strategy for virtual connections through a number of simple technologies to create efficiencies and reduce recruiting costs. For example, you can host a virtual information session via Cisco’s WebEx or a first-round screening interview via Skype or phone.
Joint Colby/Bates/Bowdoin Recruiting
You may wish to consolidate your recruiting trips to Maine and meet with students from Colby, Bates, and/or Bowdoin colleges at a single site or on back-to-back visits. If so, the Colby Career Center is happy to help you work out the details for your trip.
Liberal Arts Career NetWORK (LACN)
Colby College is a founding member of this consortium of 30+ highly selective liberal arts colleges. LACN hosts its own database, a NACElink Symplicity product, on which you can post internship and entry-level employment opportunities for students at all member schools.
