The Colby Liberal Arts Symposium (CLAS) consists of several events over the final two weeks of the term.

 

Monday, April 24 – Wednesday, April 26

Various   Open CLAS: Open CLAS sessions are presentations (and some posters) offered during regular class times during the final two weeks of the term (April 24-28; May 1-5).  The schedule of Open CLAS sessions will be included both on the CLAS website and also on the CLAS App.

Wednesday, April 26

5-7 p.m.   Open dining halls for faculty, staff, and their families

6-9 p.m.   Arts @ CLAS (Colby Museum of Art): A celebration of the arts on the evening before CLAS.  The evening includes performances (music, dance, theater), open studios, readings, and refreshments.  The first 100 attendees will receive a limited-edition CLAS t-shirt.

Thursday, April 27 (no classes)

9-Noon    Presentation sessions (Diamond, Davis)

Poster session (Parker-Reed)

Noon       Phi Beta Kappa Speech Contest (Page Commons)

1-4 p.m.  Presentation sessions (Diamond, Davis)

Poster session (Parker-Reed)

4 p.m.      CLAS Highlights (Page Commons): Come and hear four feature presentations; enjoy tasty refreshments from Maine-based businesses.  Great culmination to the day!

5-7 p.m.   Open dining halls for faculty, staff, and their families

7-9 p.m.  CLAS Continues (Various locations): Haven’t had enough of CLAS?! There will be a variety of evening options available.

Friday, April 28 (Thursday class schedule)
