and Andrea Bowman, who were looking forward to their wedding and
Jamaica honeymoon this month! Chris is the coordinator of computer programs at
Cushing Academy in Massachusetts, where he also coaches three sports. Andrea is
the store manager at The Limited Too in Faneuil Hall. Chris wrote that Ed
Ramirez works for Fidelity Investments in Boston. . . .
Cate Czernicki has been working for a law office and will enter the
UConn School of Law in the fall. . . . Katy Warrington is
at the Purdue School of Veterinary Medicine and plans to specialize in equine
internal medicine. She wrote that Meredith Gregory finished her courses
and started her doctoral research at Loyola U. in Chicago. Also Heidi
Silver, at Northeastern U. Law School, finished a co-
op
at the U.S. Attorney's Office. . . . Chris
Roosevelt, completing his M.A. in archaeology at Cornell, designed and
taught a writing course for freshmen. In the summers he works with an
archaeological expedition in Turkey and has applied to a Ph.D. program in
archaeology. . . . Robert Underwood, an English
teacher in Japan, went scuba diving in Malaysia and has visited Singapore,
Australia, India and Vietnam. . . . Since graduation, Carolyn
Read has become a certified EMT, volunteered in a N.Y.C. prison with women
who killed or assaulted their abusive partners and spent a summer in Singapore
researching and writing articles for a tourist magazine. She is now in the
Peace Corps in Madagascar, where she is working as a health communicator and
planned to visit Melissa Wilcox in Tanzania. Carolyn wrote that
Hollis Rendleman is in Seattle doing advocacy and education on domestic
violence issues. . . . Jason Sudano enjoys working for
the N.Y. Stock Exchange and was planning to visit Amy Clapp in Taos,
N.M. He wrote that Adam Furber, his former roommate in N.Y., is working
for a law firm in Germany, and Marina Grande has a new job in Latin
American research at UBS Securities. . . . Jen Zwick and
Jason Somer were married last October in Connecticut and enjoy living in
Boston. Jen is employed in financial services at Fidelity Investments, and
Jason is an attorney completing his master's of law in banking at BU. Jen wrote
that Greg Christopher is studying architecture at Columbia and Alyssa
Schwenk is in law school in Vermont. . . . Erin
Crossland loves working for Arthur D. Little in Cambridge as a
consultant/Russian translator and has traveled to Belarus, where she is
involved with a project on environmental restoration and nuclear threat
reduction. . . . After working on a congressional campaign, Paul
Matthews became a legislative aide for a Massachusetts state
representative. He wrote that Jeffrey Cohen is a second-year law student
at Villanova and lives with Shawn Keeler, who works for an economic
consulting firm in Philadelphia. He also says Erik Hassing works in
Portland, Maine, and Matthew Salah is a computer programmer at Meditech,
Inc. in Framingham, Mass. . . . Ramsey Ellis,
formerly a research assistant at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, planned to
travel in Europe and work in Milwaukee before beginning medical school at
Washington U. in St. Louis this month. Ramsey sees Jay Allard, who is
living in Allston with Ken Dupuis and Ben Damon '95. Jay is a research
health scientist at the Brockton VA Hospital and doing research on
schizophrenia at the Harvard Medical School. Ramsey is also in touch with
Laura Pavlenko, who finished her master's in journalism at
Northwestern and works at a newspaper in the Chicago area. .
. . I am now working in the human resources department of Houghton Mifflin
Publishing Co. in Boston and completing the HR management program at Bentley
College.

Congratulations to Sara Palmer,
who was planning to marry Mike Perfetti on July 20. Sara teaches math in
Michigan and also coaches basketball and soccer. She said Erin Carmichael
is working in Chicago and Ali Fields is teaching middle school Latin
in Massachusetts. . . . Congratulations are also in order
for Ariana Talbot, who married Kevin Vance in Bountiful, Utah, on
January 5. Both are students at the University of Wyoming in
Laramie. . . . Wendy Oram-Smith got engaged last
June and is planning a June 1997 wedding. Wendy is with Teach for America on
the border of Texas and Mexico. She writes that the experience has been
amazing, and she now plans to continue in the education field. She also
informed me that Tasha Walker is also teaching--in southern Maine--and
planning a wedding for this August. . . . Gillian
Kiley recently was awarded one of three prestigious poetry teaching
fellowships at the Iowa Writers' Workshop. Gillian will be teaching intro lit
class at Iowa in the fall. . . . Abe Rogers was one
of three men recently selected to the USA Triathalon's first-ever National
Resident Team at the Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs. Abe will be
training and competing with Team USA while preparing for a shot at the Olympics
in 2000. . . . Brian Schwegler spent six months as a
farmer in the Czech Republic before setting down to work on his Ph.D. in
anthropology at the University of Chicago. He told me about going to a Colby
track team reunion at a bachelor party for Matt Trainor '94. In attendance were
John Dunbar, Zach Nightingale, Kebba Tolbert '94, Jason Bologna
'94, Terry Meehan '94, Jorma Curry '93 and Jason "Grimes" Smith
'96. . . . Annie Girton is working as an editorial
assistant for Greenhaven Press, a publishing company in San
Diego. . . . Meg Sweeny and Deb Norris are working
in Jackson Hole, Wyo. . . . Bill Bradley is working at
3Com, covering Wall Street for computer networking equipment, and Dennis
Nations is working at Putnam in Boston. The two of them saw Matt
Tangney, who is also in Boston. . . . Jason Hallee
is living in Portland, working at Dexter Shoe and taking classes at USM.
. . . Lauren Pelz is teaching Spanish and coaching
basketball and lacrosse at Lawrence Academy. She planned to teach and do
administrative work at Loomis Chaffee over the summer. . . .
Regina Wlodarski recently returned from training in London with Credit
Suisse Financial Products. She is now based out of New York at their office at
Park Avenue Plaza. . . . Brett Santoli recently completed
his first year at Cornell Law and was going to spend the summer at Cornell's
Legal Aid Clinic. . . . Pat Tedesco has been accepted to
several Ph.D. programs for history. . . . Peter Murphy is
going to Tufts for his M.A.T. . . . Jon Fox is in
Jerusalem, where he was studying the May elections. . . .
Jennifer Rock is working for KLM airlines in New York. She was also
taking Kung Fu, which she says is an excellent way to balance out the rest of
her life. . . . Jennifer Packard is going to attend
UC-Davis in the fall to begin her Ph.D. in sociology. She has been working as a
Spanish tutor and bookstore clerk and taking pottery and photography classes.
She also planned an archaeological dig on Cape Cod over the summer. She
mentioned that Wing Tam is working for the Asian Cultural Society in
L.A. and Katrina Greenfield is in Portland, Ore., hoping to travel to
Japan in the fall. . . . Mike Rosenthal is in Erie,
Pa., as a financial analyst in the financial management program at General
Electric. Also in Erie is Bram Lutton, who spent last summer researching
sharks. Mike writes that Mark Rubin is working for DRI in Boston,
Yugho Yamaguchi is in New York City and George Hamilton is in
Boston. . . . Maureen Finn is going to begin work on her
master's in social work at Boston University in the
fall. . . . Heather Johnson is in Seattle, working
as a vet assistant and taking classes to prepare for vet school. She mentioned
that she saw Tachou Dubuisson, Rachael DeCosta and Dan Marsh
at a wedding. . . . Drew Matus is a research
associate with the Health Care Advisory Board in
