Three months after open-heart surgery, Robert A. Slavitt '49 was back practicing law in the offices of Slavitt, Connery & Vardamis in Norwalk, Conn.: "Total immersion," declared a feature article in the Norwalk (Conn.) Hour. Slavitt, who wrote the original documents creating the rights to salvage the Titanic, has owned race horses, collected antiques, historical artifacts and pottery, written a book about a local potter and remains a raconteur of anecdotes stemming from his life-long interest in Jewish and Irish history.
