What he did Helped organize "e-pals" at Colby for fifth graders from Framingham, Mass. What was better than that When the fifth grade got to come to Colby to meet their "e-pals" in person. What did they do on campus Ate in a dining hall, had a scavenger hunt, had a private concert by the Colby Eight. What helped make it all happen A grant from the Colby President's Office. What their teacher said "Because the college kids wrote longer messages, my kids were encouraged to write better responses." Which leads to what? Improving their writing. What one fifth grader learned about Colby "How big it is and how hard you have to work to get there." What Kyle advised him to do to return to Colby in about eight years "Stay in school, work hard, be good and have self-control."
