Merrill S.F. Greene '20 was recognized by the Maine Legislature with a proclamation honoring the 102-year-old World War I veteran, one of two in Maine. In World War II he went into uniform again as a U.S. Army doctor. "Wherever the troops were, I tried to be there," Dr. Greene told the Lewiston Sun * At the 16th annual Alfond Youth Center Awards Dinner in May, retired Waterville, Maine, lawyer Lester T. Jolovitz '39, a board member for many years of both the Waterville Boys & Girls Club and the YMCA, received a special service award recognizing his gifts of time, talent and treasure to Waterville youngsters.
