A letter to the editor of the Lawrence, Mass., Eagle-Tribune paid tribute to Donald Freeman '26's life and long teaching career in the public schools of Haverhill, Mass. The writer eulogized Freeman's "amazing 44 years" as a high school English teacher, principal, assistant superintendent and superintendent of schools and also cited his numerous civic endeavors * The lion's share of the attention paid to the inaugural class of the Maine Sports Legends Hall of Honor went to the team of Bibby Levine Alfond '38 and her husband, Harold Alfond H '80, whose philanthropic contributions to sports in Maine are unsurpassed.
