Tom Burton, men's and women's head swimming and diving coach, was named NESCAC Women's Swimming Coach of the Year in February following his second season guiding the water Mules. Burton's expertise showed when the women's team (7-2) placed fourth at the NESCAC swimming and diving championships, its best finish ever. Sixteen Colby records--from the 50-meter fly to the 800-meter free relay--were broken, some of which had stood since 1989. On the men's side Stephen Feldman '01, who holds Colby records in one- and three-meter diving, was named the NESCAC Senior Four-Year High Point Diver for earning the most points in championship competition over the past four years. |
