Forward Sam Clark '01 was named the 2000-01 New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) Men's Basketball Player of the Year. Clark, who earned second-team honors last year, averaged a conference-best 20.4 points per game this season. He also averaged 9.3 rebounds and 1.9 blocks per game, leading Colby to the semifinals of the NESCAC tournament. Earlier in the season Clark became the 30th player in Colby history to reach the prized 1,000-point mark. He was the Division III News player of the month for January and a NESCAC player of the week in February. |
