Sternberg '41
Dr. Stephen S. Sternberg '41 received the 2001 Fred Waldorf Stewart Award, bestowed annually by the department of pathology at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center on an individual who has contributed significantly to progress against human neoplastic diseases. Sternberg has been associated with MSKCC since 1951 and has served the institution as president of both the medical board and the general staff * Dr. Philip Boyne '46, who recently completed a two-year tenure as president of the American College of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, received the Honor Award for 2001 from the Pierre Fauchard Academy, another professional organization. He continues to practice oral and maxillofacial surgery at the Loma Linda University Medical Center in California.
